
How to massage your face with Gua Sha

Massage is a key step in your beauty ritual. As per our last blog on the various benefits of Gua Sha massage for face, Gua Sha face massage creates a healthy skin glow by releasing toxins, and beautiful lift in the face.
HYDRATE
Drink lots of water before and after to help rid those toxins from the body.
PREP YOUR SKIN
After cleansing, apply mist/toner to your face, then apply 1-2 pumps of our face & eye serum + few drops of our face oil serum. The serum and oil you apply before doing the massage will be absorbed better into your skin as massage will encourage the actives to work deeper onto your skin.
MASSAGE
Do one side first with all the steps then repeat steps on the other side.
Each stroke must be done 3x3 times:
STEP 1
Start with the neck with downward strokes (flat part against the skin).
STEP 2
With the heart shape part of the Gua Sha, follow the jawline bone from chin to ears.
STEP 3
With the flat part, massage from nasolabial fold to ears (contouring under the cheek bone).
STEP 4
With the flat part, massage on the cheek bone from nose fold to ears.
STEP 5
With the small round corner of the Gua Sha (opposite the heart shape) massage the eye contour to release puffiness and dark circles.
STEP 6
With the flat part, massage the eyebrow bone with upwards strokes & forehead.

TREAT
Once your Gua Sha massage is complete, you might notice redness and tingle on your face. It’s a good sign, it means circulation is activated. HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU DO GUA SHA?
Gua Sha could be done anytime daily, but when done regularly it offers better results. 2 to 5 times a week is a good basis. It could take five minutes on each side by simplifying and doing the most basic routine, which still yields beautiful results or you can take your time and focus more on areas of concern.
