"I have suffered from psoriasis my whole life and was given cortisone treatments from a very young age. My mum, who is an aromatherapist and reflexologist, introduced me to alternative medicine, and the results were very impressive, especially with a good diet and regular lymphatic massages. Since then, I have been passionate about holistic beauty that can help the body and heal and soothe concerns from within. So I learned lymphatic massage techniques in France, which gave me a deeper understanding of how health, wellness and beauty work together, as a 360 approach."

Specialising in lymphatic massage for the face and body means working with clean, supportive products. That’s why we created a skincare range free from unnecessary chemicals and nasties that can overload the body, rather than support it.

In 2020, while our Bondi spa was closed during the first COVID lockdown, we wanted our clients to be able to maintain their Biotyspa treatments at home. From this, the Biotyspa DIY Spa Kits and Duos were born.

We now offer our signature treatments in a box, allowing clients to experience the benefits of at-home massage using our bespoke tools, designed in-house to perform our Biotyspa lymphatic massage techniques from home.

Deborah Levy, who has always been passionate about natural beauty and has lived with psoriasis her whole life, decided to pursue her dream of learning French holistic beauty techniques. She went on to design sculpting lymphatic drainage rituals for the body and face, before developing a range of skincare and tools created specifically to support these techniques.

We offer beauty as a ritual, a me-time to connect with yourself, using massage techniques designed by our founder Deborah Levy, to sculpt the face and body contour, as well as enhancing lymphatic flow with simple strokes to mimic at home. All our tutorials feature Deborah herself, with guided steps on how to experience the ritual and perform the massage with the tool at home.

As part of our idea to educate, we have QR codes on all of our kits, duos and products, which are linked to educational information on our website as well as our journal. There are also lots of informative posts on our socials, in particular Instagram and TikTok, often filmed by Deborah herself and members of our community using our rituals at home.

We make natural and organic skincare that works with the body, rather than against it. When it comes to natural skincare, Australia was an obvious choice, as its sacred and wild land has a lot to offer. From the macadamia, eucalyptus and sandalwood oils that originate from the Australian bush, our recipes include as many native ingredients as possible that offer a high concentration of nutrients. As the environment is quite hostile in Australia, the plants have to fight to survive more than in a healthy environment, which means they produce a higher concentration of nutrients and offer amazing properties.

Our formulations also have key ingredients inspired by traditional French beauty recipes, such as the coffee extract, juniper oil and grapefruit oil in our Firming Body Oil, which are regularly used in body creams in France to tighten and smooth the skin.

We launched the Body Sculpt Cup in 2018, with an innovative design that mimics the French 'palpate and roll' massage, which encourages the movement and elimination of fluid, toxins and water retention. This stimulates the lymphatic flow and visibly improves skin texture, while effectively reducing the appearance of cellulite.
